Computer "Tea; Earl Grey; Hot"



A look into makerbot industries.






Having had experience in the manufacturing field has me pretty exicted for this technology. I used to work as a cnc programmer, so my favorite work hobby was making programs to cut things out of wood. It was very interesting to see things you designed on a two dimensional screen be constructed in 3 dimensions.




This is still an arm and a leg away from nanomanufacturing, yet we can see more or less what would need to be done to reach the ability to "grow" anything we want. Now there is a slight down fall with this product, the cost. At seven hundred dollars for just parts seems a tad too much to spend simply to make star trek models ( yes thats what I would make hehe)


What I really need is a money printer first, then the sky is the limit.
