Semantic Career Design

One's set of skills are always in flux because one continues to learn daily.

Imagine a system that tracks one's present skills and their development of skills, acquired through desired.

Then it can suggest necessary curricula for a person to acquire their desired skills.

curriculum specifies what topics must be understood and to what level to achieve a particular grade or standard.
résumé is a document that contains a summary of relevant job experience and education for specific employment search.
A job interview is a process in which a potential employee is evaluated by an employer for prospective employment in their organization.

A job interview, in this sense, is equivalent to a project proposal and business planEmployers hope to determine whether or not applicants are suitable for jobs.
Learning Objects
HR Schema
Set of Q & A asked and answered either by employers or potential employees - a spontaneous process that proceeds continously until a decision is reached.

Résumé: Definition

A résumé is a document that contains a description of relevant job experience, education, and skills for specific employment searches.
  • Job seekers advertise their availability for employment with a resume
  • Employers use the resume is used to screen applicants
For the job seeker the resume advertises availability for employment and is used as a marketing tool.  For the employer the resume is used to screen applicants, so it's presentation is directly related to the jobseekers success.  Many resumes contain precise keywords relevant to the position desired, and display content in a flattering manner.

A curriculum vitae is a written description of your work experience, educational background, and skills. Also called a CV, or simply a vitae, it is more detailed than a resume and is commonly used by those looking for work outside the U.S. and Australia. A curriculum vitae is also used by someone looking for an academic job, i.e. in a college or university.

Semantic Workforce

The implications of the unification of continuous, simultaneous education and job placement are staggering...
Elimination of unnecessary, prolonged specialization in a specific field of endeavor.   Fractal branching of one's skill sets - grown by one's inner curiosity.

Introduction to Psi Cognitive Theory

Psi-Theory models human action regulation, intention and behaviour.

The theory describes a comprehensive model of the human brain, its cognitive processes, emotion and motivation. It is about the informational structure of an intelligent, motivated, emotional agent (called Psi) which is able to survive in arbitrary domains of reality.

This agent is driven by several satisfiable needs: need for food, water, the avoidance of pain, certainty, competence and affiliation). The cognitive processes are modulated by emergent emotional states, memory, and sensory perception.

Motivation
  • Five (5) basic needs that drive behaviour
  • Generate intentions to satisfy needs

Action Regulation
  • Intention is selected and executed
  • Action regulation is modulated by Emotions

Emotions
  • Emotions emerge from the system through modulation of the cognitive processes
  • Agents do not “have” an emotion, but it thinks and acts emotionally

5 Basic Needs that Trigger Behavior
  • Preserve Existence
    • food, water, avoidance of pain
  • Preserve Species
    • sexuality and reproduction
  • Affiliate
    • need to belong to a group and engage in social interactions (“signals of legitimacy”)
  • Be Certain
    • predictability of events and consequences
  • Be Competent
    • capability of mastering problems and tasks, including satisfying one’s needs
